4ish hour session to learn, print and assemble

In this workshop you will learn how to turn your own animation into a Riso flip book. You will be guided through the fundamentals of Risograph printing and learn how to prepare a video file for print. We will go over how to output frames, automate a contact sheet as well as file set-up, including colour separations. These contact sheets will then be printed on the Riso and assembled into 1” flip book.

At the end of the night, you will walk away with 10 copies of your very own Riso Flip Book.

Supplies needed:

• A short 36 frame animation to be printed

  • mp4 or png image sequence

• Laptop (with adobe suit installed)

Prerequisites:

• Some animation experience

• Basic Photoshop/After Effects skills

• Some Risograph experience is a bonus
